About Rodnesia Jackson

Rodnesia Jackson is a dedicated mother, doula, and community health worker deeply passionate about improving maternal and infant health outcomes for families—especially within communities of color.

Since founding Women of Color Doula Services in 2023, she has committed her work to providing compassionate, culturally supportive care that empowers birthing individuals throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum.

Rodnesia serves as a member of the Michigan Doula Advisory Board and the Michigan Maternal Mortality Surveillance Team, contributing to statewide efforts focused on reducing maternal mortality and improving equity in healthcare.

Known for her calm and nurturing presence, Rodnesia creates a warm, peaceful environment that supports a more stress-free labor and delivery experience. Her holistic approach centers the well-being of the mother, baby, and the entire support team.

She is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), expanding inclusive care to a broader range of families. Rodnesia is currently training to become a lactation consultant and plans to pursue nursing in the future.
